Matt Stern Discusses the Challenges of Securing Cyber Space at Netezza

In my 14 years of experience within the information technology and cyber domains, I have led or advised cyber security efforts from the local network to the enterprise to the national level. I have watched the threat grow in sophistication, capacity and capability while the white hats struggle to keep pace.

From my perspective... the Black Hats are winning. I have put together a presentation outlining the challenges with securing cyber space and recently presented at Netezza. In this presentation, I call out what I believe has not worked to date and why. I explore the Confidentiality-Integrity-Availability model and what we need to do going forward.
